Current operations
focus on well-established basins with proven production histories,
which have remained active throughout various oil and natural gas
pricing environments. Forbes recently expanded operations in both East and
West Texas, with initial toeholds in Marshall and Ozona with
additional fill-in expansion.
Cotton Valley: expanded from Marshall to Carthage and
Kilgore in 2007 (grown to 24 rigs in East Texas)
Permian Basin: expanded from Ozona to San Angelo, Monahans,
Odessa and Big Spring in 2007 (grown to 38 rigs in West Texas)
On-going expansion plans target the Barnett Shale and High
Island while longer-term expansion will target growth areas
outside of Texas
